As an EMC and power systems engineer for an electronics company in Roseville, I graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Physics. I have served as secretary through chair for the Santa Clara Valley EMC Society and on several international and local technical conference committees. As the current MVP chair, I am concerned about improving regional air and water quality. I will continue to fight for burning alternatives, fewer diesel trucks and no asphalt or incinerator factories near our residences in the community. | - Daniel Foreman, MD (Vice President) email: danielsforeman©yahoo.com
An ophthalmologist practicing in Auburn, I am Chair of the MVP Medical Committee. I received a B.A. in Biochemistry from UC Santa Barbara and entered the PhD program in Bio-Physics at U.C. Berkeley. I earned my M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine. As a Flight Surgeon in the Navy, I had extensive experience in environmental medicine, ER Medicine and family practice. | - Laurie Sweeney (Secretary) email: lsweeney©pacbell.net
A CPA and Consultant with 30 years of business experience in public accounting, controllerships and consulting, I have been a Meadow Vista resident since 1979. I am a past President of the Meadow Vista Trails Association and Past Chairman of the Board of the Placer County SPCA. My primary interest is preserving Meadow Vista's rural qualities as well as protecting our clean air and water. | - Jim Schreiber (Treasurer) email: mvschreibers©sbcglobal.net
My wife and I have lived on Combie Road for 26 years. We raised three children in Meadow Vista and have enjoyed the qualities that make this community a great place to live. I am very active in youth soccer and recreation, serving as President of the Soccer League for seven years. I recently retired after operating a small business in Auburn for 23 years, and I believe my business background will help me fulfill the responsibilities of the office of Treasurer. | | | | Directors | - Bob Freedkin
A semi-retired pharmacist, I am very concerned about health issues created by more diesel trucks, water pollution and the release of noxious substances into our air by manufacturing asphalt. Ten years ago I left the San Fernando Valley idealistically in search of a kinder, gentler place to live out my years in my lovely Meadow Vista cottage. I have spoken to public officials and community groups, helped with events and MVP booths, and written letters and articles that were published in local newspapers. | - Mike Walker mwalker23©gmail.com
A freelance graphic and web presence designer who has lived in Meadow Vista since 2002. I enjoy raising animals, playing video games, collecting trading cards, and the quality of life that is possible in the foothills. I hope to stop the expansion of the strip mine on the banks of the Bear River and help prevent the pollution of our canyon air and water to build more roads and parking lots in the region. | | | |
